What you can model

A feedforward plan selects three line lengths for a target surge position. The plan-view diagram connects the line arrangement to the platform location and applied load. After an initial hold, rate-limited commands shorten one line and lengthen the other two, allowing the platform to move under the resulting mooring forces.
