From multidomain physics to production systems

CTRL

Control Systems

Optimal and predictive control — LQR, MPC, state estimation — keeping systems stable and within limits under disturbance.

ENRG

Energy

Wind, battery, and thermal energy systems — pack-level state estimation, storage performance, and power flow under real duty cycles.

O&G

Oil & Gas

Electrical submersible pump modeling, plus mooring and riser mechanics and structural loads on floating platforms.

DYN

Dynamic Systems

Roll-to-roll web handling, rotating machinery, and multibody mechanics — predicting vibration, contact stress, and resonance.

MOD

Multidomain Modeling

Coupled structural, thermal, fluid, and electrical physics in one Modelica/FEM model — exported as FMUs for co-simulation and digital twins of existing hardware.

AGENT

Agentic Frameworks & Production

LLM agents wrapping simulation tools — plain-language prompts that run real models, plot results, and ship as deployable apps.

Plain-language request becoming two tool calls and a platform pitch trace
FOWT · Part 3

Who Runs Your Simulation When You're Not a Simulation Engineer?

tl;dr. Parts 1 and 2 of this series built a floating-wind mooring model and turned it into a dynamic co-simulation. By the end of Part 2 the simulator could already answer real engineering questions.…

It Moves Now: Dynamic Mooring with a 6DOF FOWT

A floating wind turbine that never moves isn't telling us very much. Part 1 of this series held the platform at a single frozen offset, a useful first look at the mooring physics, but no real…

OC4 platform undergoing circular surge with catenary mooring lines
FOWT · Part 1

One Line. Four Models. Which One, and When?

Mooring lines bend, sag, drag along the seabed, and reshape with every platform motion. What force does that shape put on the platform right now? The answer drives early design, safety margins, and…

Academic rigor, industrial application

Vedat Senol is a modeling expert — a mechanical and civil engineer with a Ph.D. As an independent consultant, he builds multidomain models and simulations of complex physical systems, predicting how they behave and fail before hardware is built, across control, energy, oil & gas, and dynamic systems.

His work couples structural, thermal, and control physics in a single multidomain model using Modelica and finite element methods — turning expensive, high-stakes design questions into simulations that answer them first.
